Description: Hippo is a loveable happy four year old big boy. He is very friendly and seems to enjoy everyone. He really loves playing with his toys and getting lots of attention. Hippo might do alright with a cat and maybe a dog his size. We do not know how he is with children so an adult home and older teens would be best. Hippo weighs 80# and is strong walker so the adopter will need to also be strong so they can take Hippo for his walks. Hippo is house trained, current on vaccines, micro chipped and heart worm negative. His adoption fee is $150+tax. If you are interested in meeting/adopting Hippo please submit a dog application on our website www.hspcwi.org. The approved adopter will be contacted within three days for an appointment to meet Hippo. There is no waiting on a transport, Hippo is a Wisconsin dog! If all goes well with his meeting Hippo can go home the same day. All dog adoptions come with a leash, collar, toys and 3 days of food. The adopter receives copies of all medical records. If the adopter is a resident of Portage County a dog license will be issued at the time of adoption.
